do i need to be flexible?
definitely not! there are many different types of physical yoga (āsana) and you may feel more of a stretch in some compared to others. if you feel restrictions in your body, and who doesn’t, yoga will help
yoga is only about stretching, i want to get strong
there are many different styles of physical yoga but in the dynamic styles I teach you will definitely cultivate strength as well as flexibility
what should i wear to practice?
anything you feel comfortable in that enables you to move freely. if you prefer wearing shorts, i recommend you also wear an underlayer
what does om mean?
om is the sacred, primordial sound of the universe and is known in other forms such as Amen and Allah. it’s a beautiful way to come together as a group energetically but if the word doesn’t sit well with you, you can swap it out for an “a” or an “o” sound. join in or not, it’s totally up to you
if i follow another religion, can i practice yoga?
absolutely! yoga is considered a science and although archetypes may be referred to, they are used to symbolise qualities that we would like to cultivate within ourselves
